It’s no secret that after we went to California in January I became pretty obsessed with Matcha green tea and specifically this Matcha Latte that I basically had every day we were in San Francisco.

I have been really trying to make something at home that compares to what I had in San Fran. I’ve been trying to make the perfect Matcha Latte.

Well I think I have finally done it. After pulling some inspiration from Krisin Cavallari’s book I put together this recipe.

It gives me all the fall vibes with the spice of the tumeric and cinnamon.

It really is comforting. I am going to make a bunch more and put it in the freezer to see if (fingers crossed) it can work as an iced Matcha Latte.

So if you’re at all into Matcha like I am then I am sure you will love this 🙂

Matcha Latte Recipe

  • 1 cup milk (regular, soy, almond… whatever your preference)
  • 1 tsp tumeric powder
  • 1 tsp Matcha green tea powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup

Directions: combine everything in a pot on the stove top and warm to your liking; stirring frequently.

UPDATE: you can make a big batch of this and then put it in the fridge for iced lattes. I like it warm better but it still totally works!

Hope you enjoy!

SWAK,

Em
